The Escondido Police Department conducted a curfew sweep on April 22, 2011. As a result of the sweep, fourteen juveniles were arrested for curfew violations, possession of tobacco products, and drunk in public. The juveniles were transported to the police station and eventually released to their parent/guardian or taken to Juvenile Hall. Their ages ranged from 12 to 17 years old.

The Escondido Police Department will be conducting regular curfew sweeps throughout the year.

The City of Escondido's current curfew hours are from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
