At approximately 9:45AM, 11-05-13, an individual entered the U.S. Bank located at 125 North Broadway in Escondido, approached a teller and presented her with a robbery note.  The note indicated the suspect was armed with a gun.  The teller turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect exited the bank.  The suspect was last seen walking northbound on Broadway.

The suspect is a black male adult with a light complexion, approximately fifty years of age.  He is described as about 6’00” tall, weighing 200 pounds.  He was wearing a dark t-shirt and dark trousers and a large blue visor on his head.  The suspect claimed to have a gun but no gun was seen.  A thorough search of the area by patrol officers and the Sheriff’s ASTREA unit were made; however, the suspect was not located.

The FBI responded to the scene and is assisting EPD with the investigation.
