At approximately 7:00 a.m., on December 13, 2010 the Communications Division of the Escondido Police Dept. received a telephone call reporting a possible commercial burglary at 1291 Pacific Oaks Place, #119 in Escondido. Officers responded to the location to find a broken front window and an open garage door. Officers searched the building and located approximately 70 marijuana plants and an elaborate grow system. The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) arrived and took over the investigation. Agents estimated the suspects in this case were growing approximately 260 marijuana plants valued at 790,000.00.
