The Escondido Police Department has concluded a year-long effort to enforce alcohol related offenses involving minors.  The enforcement and educational efforts conducted in this operation was sponsored by a grant through ABC.  The operations conducted are listed below.

  • Minor Decoy Operations   = 5
  • Shoulder Taps                  = 13
  • Impacts                             = 35
  • Task Force Operations     = 17

 

During the operation, 297 subjects were contacted.  Enforcement action was taken on 19 subjects for various alcohol related violations.  ABC compliance checks were conducted at 35 local businesses involved with the sale of alcohol.  The Escondido Police Department also provided training (LEAD) to 43 employees represented by 16 businesses in ABC laws.

The Escondido Police Department, in partnership with public health and social service agencies, is committed to the on-going effort in keeping the young people of our community safe.
