On January 31, 2012, at approximately 2:10 PM, officers from the Escondido Police Department Patrol Bureau responded to the 600 Block of Harding Street regarding a reported missing elderly person. Once officers arrived on scene, they received the following information.
On January 30, 2012, at approximately 2:00 PM, Susan Helen Gray, age 64, left her residence in the 600 Block of Harding Street in Escondido. Gray was residing in an assisted living home and told another resident that she did not want to stay there any longer. The staff of the facility notified the police after they had contacted family members and local hospitals and were unable to locate Gray.
Gray is described as a white female, five feet, eight inches tall and weighs 240 pounds. She has black hair and blue eyes. Gray was last seen wearing a brown fleece jacket and blue pants. It is believed Gray has money with her and she is familiar with public transportation.
Gray is under medical care for various illnesses and is required to take medication. It is not believed that she has any of her medication with her.
If anyone sees Susan Gray, they are encouraged to contact the local police department where they are located so officers can check on Gray’s welfare and ensure she is able to care for herself.
