FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Contact: Lt. Chris Wynn, 760-839-4700

On Friday morning at approximately 0810 hours, a 22-year-old female was walking to work in the 800 block of Bennett Avenue.  The victim saw what she described as a light blue 1990’s model 4-door Honda in the driveway of a vacant house.  Near the vehicle she saw a white male adult in his early thirties, wearing a hooded white sweatshirt, long black shorts, and black “Nike” running shoes.  Based on his dress, the victim assumed the male was going for a run.  As the victim approached, the male turned and grabbed her around the waist area.  He began to push her toward the vehicle while telling her to “Get in.”  The victim immediately began to scream and the suspect let go of her and ran into the backyard of the residence.  The victim ran away and when she turned to see if the suspect was still chasing her, she saw the suspect sped away in the above-described vehicle.

The suspect was described as being 5’7 to 5’8 approximately 170 pounds, with medium to dark skin tone.  He was clean-shaven and had a chunky face.  The victim noticed that he had dark circles under his eyes.

The following drawing is a Forensic rendering of the suspect.  Anyone with information regarding this incident or the identity of the suspect is asked to call Sgt. Diana Provost of the Crimes of Violence Unit at 760-839-4410.
