On January 14, 2012, at approximately 0430 hours, officers from the Escondido Police Department Patrol Bureau responded to a radio call reference a sexual assault that had occurred in 200 Block of West Grand Avenue in Escondido.

The female victim reported that she was walking south on Escondido Boulevard when she was grabbed from behind and pulled into the alley.  While she was in the alley, an unknown suspect sexually assaulted her.  The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, approximately 30-35 years old.  He is estimated to be about five feet, eight inches tall and weigh about 170 pounds.  The suspect has black hair, brown eyes and a muscular build.  He was wearing a dark, short sleeved t-shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.  The suspect spoke with an accent.
