FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CONTACT:  Lt. Chris Wynn, (760) 839-4700

On July 12, 2011, at about 7:45 am, Jasmine Robinson was located safely.  It was reported that she had stayed over at a friend’s residence all night.  Police were informed that Jasmine had gone over to her friend’s apartment which is located in Building #1 at 1501 East Grand Avenue and fell asleep.  They did hear the knocking on the door in the middle of the night, but did not answer the door as they did not know who was there.

In the morning, they were made aware of the search by police when they saw the news and Jasmine’s picture on TV.  Jasmine went home and the police were notified that she had safely returned.

The police department would like to thank our media partners who aggressively reported this story and assisted us in locating Jasmine is a timely manner.  Without their assistance, it may have taken additional time to locate Jasmine and ensure her safety.
