This evening at about 7:30 PM, a 23 year old Temecula man was driving his pickup east on country Club Lane east of Centre City Parkway. The vehicle struck the curb, ran over an electrical transformer, and then crashed into a home on Eveningside Glen. The force of the collision injured a 14 year old girl who was inside the home. Two other occupants of the house were not injured. A male resident who was standing outside the home at the time of the collision was pinned under the pickup truck until rescue crews were able to free him. He was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition. He suffered a broken leg, a concussion and facial injuries. Officer Michael Garcia is the lead investigator in the collsion and can be reached at 839-4729. The driver of the pickup was arrested for driving under the influence and causing injury ( a felony ), violating the terms of his probation for a previous DUI conviction, and driving on a suspended license.
