Arrest Made in Escondido Homicide

        

On 11-18-16 at approximately 0210hrs. Escondido police officers responded to a domestic dispute call in the 2200 block of E. Lincoln Ave.  When officers arrived they contacted a male and female outside of the residence.  Upon entering the residence, officers found an adult male with multiple stab wounds.  Officers rendered medical aid to the victim, who was transported to Palomar Medical Center by Escondido Fire Department personnel.  The victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital.  The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.

Escondido police detectives have been diligently investigating the homicide since the incident was first reported.  The investigation has led to the arrest of Alda Garcia, a 35 year old resident of Escondido.  It is believed that Garcia and the victim were in a dating relationship.  Garcia will be booked into the Vista Detention Facility on one count of Murder (P.C. 187(a), and one count of Inflict Injury upon Spouse/Cohabitant (P.C. 273.5(a).  The investigation is on-going.  Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call Escondido Police Detective John Odonnell at 760-839-4756, or leave an anonymous tip at 760-743-TIPS (8477).
