FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CONTACT: Lt. Craig Carter, 760-839-4487

On August 18, 2011, at 10:33 am, Escondido Police Department received a call that the Chase Bank at 1401 East Valley Parkway had just been robbed. A Good Samaritan at the bank copied the suspect vehicles plate and notified officers. A computer check revealed that the suspect vehicle was registered to a house in the 2000 block of Montemar Ave. in Escondido. Escondido police officers responded to the house and noticed the suspect vehicle in the driveway. Officers called the suspects out of the house and took them into custody without incident. Escondido Police and the FBI served a search warrant at the residence for additional evidence.

Joshua Bruce Griffith, 35, of Escondido and Paul Alford, 36, of Escondido were arrested for multiple felony charges related to the bank robbery.
