MAN DIES IN CAR WASH

 

Late in the evening on Friday, April 15 2022, the Escondido Police Department received a report of an unresponsive man inside of a self-service car wash located in the 2100 block of East Valley Parkway. Officers arrived to find a 56-year-old man trapped between a 2014 Scion XB and a part of the car wash machinery. The preliminary investigation indicated that the man drove into the car wash and for an unknown reason, tried to exit his vehicle. The vehicle then rolled forward, pinning the man between the car and the machinery. It does not appear the car wash had been activated at the time of the collision.

 

This collision is being investigated by Traffic Investigator Pete McCollough. Anyone who may have witnessed this incident is encouraged to call Officer McCollough at 760-839-4930.

HOMBRE MUERE EN LAVADO DE AUTOS

 

A última hora de la noche del viernes 15 de abril de 2022, el Departamento de Policía de Escondido recibió el informe de un hombre que no respondía dentro de un lavado de autos de autoservicio ubicado en el bloque 2100 de East Valley Parkway. Los oficiales llegaron y encontraron a un hombre de 56 años atrapado entre un Scion XB 2014 y una parte de la maquinaria de lavado de autos. La investigación preliminar indicó que el hombre ingresó al lavado de autos y, por razones desconocidas, intentó salir de su vehículo. Luego, el vehículo rodó hacia adelante, atrapando al hombre entre el automóvil y la maquinaria. No parece que el lavado de autos haya sido activado en el momento de la colisión.

Esta colisión está siendo investigada por el investigador de tráfico, Pete McCollough. Se anima a cualquier persona que haya presenciado este incidente a llamar al oficial McCollough al 760-839-4930.
