The Escondido Police Department is actively searching for a missing 50 year old male who is considered at risk. Carlos Gomez Baca was discovered missing from his home in the area of 300 block of E. Washington Avenue at approximately 5:00 am on July 10th, 2018. Mr. Baca has a number of physical ailments and he is also missing his left eye. He requires medication and may become disoriented if the medication is not taken. Mr. Baca was last seen wearing an unknown colored shirt and sweatpants and a brown sombrero-type hat. He has lost most of his hair due to medical treatment. Mr. Baca speaks primarily Spanish and has limited English ability. He does not have a car and usually travels on foot or uses public transportation. Anyone with information about his current whereabouts is asked to contact the Escondido Police Department at 760-839-4722. See attached photo.
