SECURITY ALARM INFORMATION

It is an Escondido Municipal Code REQUIREMENT that any functioning alarm system in a business or residence MUST be registered with the City of Escondido (Per Ordinance No. 2004.12). 

Alarm Program Administration

Escondido Police Department and Finance Department staff recently established an agreement with Alarm Program Systems, LLC.  This vendor will provide alarm program administration services including registration and billing.  Partnering with Alarm Program Systems, LLC, allows the City of Escondido to provide an automated method for citizens to manage their alarm systems.

Establishing a new alarm program administration service can increase safety through improved compliance and reduce false alarms through education.  Alarm Program Systems, LLC offers alarm school through an interactive, educational, online alarm course.  Alarm school will be available for all citizens with a registered alarm.  Alarm school participation may also reduce certain penalties associated with false alarm fees.
