Special Enforcement BureauPurpose

The purpose of the Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) is to provide police services to our community that are specialized and not generally covered by the Patrol Bureau.

Consistent with the other three bureaus of the Department, SEB strives to maintain a tradition of service that our community expects. SEB supplements the overall intent to serve our community in a professional, effective, efficient, responsible, and prompt manner.

Function & Structure

SEB is a functional structure and consists of one captain and one lieutenant for overall command. There are three divisions within the bureau:


The Crime Suppression Division (CSD) is under the supervision of two sergeants with a total of 65 team members.


The Traffic Division is under the supervision of one sergeant with a total of about 22 team members.

The Crime Analysis Division is under the supervision of a senior crime analyst with a total of three team members. This division is responsible for mandated reporting (Uniform Crime Report – UCR) and for continually assessing and analyzing trends of crime. Crime Analysis also provides internal reporting to all areas of the Police Department when requested and as needed.

SEB Structure

SEB is composed of uniformed and non-uniformed team members that are sworn peace officers, non-sworn community service officers, and civilian staff. Members of SEB are routinely connected and involved in the community on many levels and are highly visible to those who reside and visit our city.
