• Click the RSS Feeds RSS Icon button to view feeds on the Web page.
• Click Subscribe to this feed.
• Type a name for the feed and select the folder to create the feed in.
• Click the Add to Favorites Bar check box.
• Click Subscribe.
• To view subscribed feeds, click the browser's Favorites button, then click the Feeds tab.

On January 14, 2013, the Escondido Police Department conducted a Traffic Safety Checkpoint in the area of Bear Valley Parkway and Kit Carson Park. The results of this event were as follows:

         1533              Vehicles passed through the checkpoint location

         311                Vehicles were contacted by screening officers

         34                  Drivers/vehicles were directed to secondary

         0                    Vehicles were impounded

 

         21 citations were issued:

 

6      Unlicensed or suspended driver violations

9     No proof of insurance violations

4     Registration violation

2     Speed violations

1     Where a registered owner loaned a vehicle to an unlicensed drive

The Traffic Safety Checkpoint demonstrated the Escondido Police Department’s commitment to traffic safety, licensed drivers, using seatbelts and child restraint seats, while driving mechanically safe and properly registered vehicles.
