Police Ride-Alongs are limited to Escondido residents and Police Department applicants only. Citizens requesting a ride-along with a police officer must complete a Ride-Along Application form (ESPD #178), which includes ride-along requirements and a waiver.

The applications are available at the Escondido Police Department Front Counter Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and are also available online.  The application must be returned in person to the Front Counter and provide valid identification.

The applicant will be notified by telephone of their scheduled ride-along.
