The Training and Backgrounds Division manages the training needs and hiring of all police department personnel. They ensure that hiring standards are met so only the most qualified candidates are appointed to the various positions. For the position of Entry Level Police Officer each candidate must pass a series of exams. The hiring process for Entry Level Police Officer includes the following:
